There will be a new PVP mode, called Crystal Conflict, to be introduced in Patch 6.1.There will be a new treasure map dungeon in Patch 6.05.Crafters and Gatherers will have access to Studium Deliveries, with new questlines similar to Role Quests (and a similar extra quest upon completion of all five lines).There will be extra quests added at a later date for completing all five Role Quest lines, but there will be no Level 90 Job Quests. There will be five lines, Tank, Healer, Melee DPS, Physical Ranged DPS, and Magical Ranged DPS. Patch 6.0 will carry over the addition of Role Quests (replacing Job Quests) from Shadowbringers.The game will have a new feature where NPCs may follow you during certain sequences and have discussions between themselves.The team gave a brief history recap of the central cast of Endwalker, as well as a new character from the story trailer, the Lady of the Light.The new Main Scenario Quest in Patch 6.0 will conclude the story told thus far in Final Fantasy XIV since A Realm Reborn, with a brand-new story arc starting in Patch 6.1.We also got a glimpse at one of the major locations on the moon of Hydaelyn, called Mare Lamentorium. Garlemald will finally be an area that players can travel to, albeit after the city has been decimated by the evil forces currently in control of the Garlean Empire.They also displayed the new settlement Thavnair, which was heavily featured in the media tour and the previous Live Letter. The team also showed off the mysterious Labyrinthos location, the purpose of which will be revealed in-story. Patch 6.0 will include two new cities, Old Sharlayan and Radz-at-Han.We got a new story trailer! Patch 6.05 will release on January 4th, and include the Savage tier of the Pandaemonium raid introduced in 6.01.Patch 6.01 will include the first part of the new Pandaemonium raid. Patch 6.01 will release on December 21st, two weeks after the expansion. ![]() Patch 6.0 will now go live for preorder-ers on December 3rd, 2021, and December 7th for the “full release”. The big one, Endwalker has been delayed by two weeks.You’ll find these under the Ishgardian Restoration tab in your log. Crafters may instead speak with Potkin (X:12.2, Y:14.6) for Restoration-related crafts to be added to your crafters’ log. The Diadem NPC just next to him will grant you access to gather and level up in the area. Talk to Flotpassant (X:10.8, Y:14.0) as a gatherer to have your Diadem items appraised. The Firmament area has several NPCs to talk to, as well as a summoning bell to access your retainers. You’ll then have access to participate in the Restoration. Speak with the NPC Augebert (X:11.4, Y:14.1) to get caught up on the latest chapter of the Ishgardian Restoration. When you’re done with that, go to the newly-unlocked Firmament area. You’ll also need to complete the main scenario quest, “Litany of Peace.” Head to the Foundation section of Ishgard and locate the Recruitment Notice (X:9.7, Y:11.5) on the wall, not too far from the aetheryte crystal. In order to start the Ishgardian Restoration, players will first need to achieve level 60 on any job and have access to Ishgard in the Heavensward expansion. Complete the “Towards the Firmament” quest in Ishgard But you can continue earning experience points and Skybuilders’ scrips at any time. Players won’t receive any ranking points unless the live event is ongoing, as displayed in on-screen messages while in Ishgard. ![]() Both methods reward players with Skybuilders’ scrips for special rewards, as well as tons of experience points for leveling up. Crafters use those appraised materials to create special collectible items. Gatherers have access to a revamped version of Diadem where they collect materials, then turn in those materials for appraisal. It’s also a great way to quickly level up your crafters and gatherers. Every server has its own leaderboard for various prizes at the end of each ranking period. Gatherers collect special materials, while crafters turn those materials into tangible objects for the restoration project. Players on each server work together to rebuild a portion of the snowy city-state of Ishgard. The Ishgard Restoration is a live, server-wide event for crafters and gatherers in Final Fantasy XIV. ![]()
